Old vs. New

Old media;  newspapers, radio, magazines even commercials on television (doesn't everyone just fast forward those things nowadays?). The old ways of media are quickly being outdated by today's more efficient and wide spread new media. New media consists of blogs, wikis, youtube, and social networks such as twitter and Facebook.

not all tv ads are being outdated. In fact, major ad agencies describe tv ads as an "immersed experience". While, we can fast forward commercials, it seems tv viewing is up 5 hours per month, and while we cold be hitting the fast forward button, we're too busy looking at our smart phones during them to realize!  Has new media effectively taken over our vision? Are we now so wrapped up in videos, blogs and tv shows that we have forgotten how to have a normal conversation ?

Although this is a bit jarring, we can all agree there is no stopping technology and there is no replacement for our demand of information and videos. I suppose those video chat ideas will have to come in handy if we ever plan on looking people in the face when we talk to them while stimulating our need to have a screen in front of us!
